Allenzine Joseph 74, of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away on April 4, 2022 surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with COPD/Lung Cancer.

Allenzine was born on April 7, 1947 to Moton Broadnax and Daisy Saunders in the city of Norfolk VA. Allenzine graduated from William C. Jason Comprehensive High School in 1965. She received a degree in nursing at the Milford School of Nursing in 1974.

Allenzine was passionate about nursing and loved teaching generations of new nurses in the profession. She proudly served her country as a member of the Delaware Army National Guard. Allenzine retired in 2012 after 38 years of service in the healthcare field.

While retired, Allenzine had time to pursue her love of fishing, going to church and the Farmers Market. She always enjoyed talking on the phone with her lifelong friend Harlee (Sporty-Joe) Watts Jr. and spending time with her favorite nieces Martini Cannon, Keisha Duncan and Shirley Whitehead when she was capable.

She is preceded in death by her husband Camitil Joseph, her father Moton Broadnax and mother Daisy Saunders, brother Charles DeMary Sr., Sisters Daisy Pinder and Arletha Brown.

Allenzine is survived by her brothers Edward Wallace, Edward DeMary Sr. (Rhonda) of Norfolk VA, Sisters Mary Cook (Sylvester) of Jacksonville FL, and Maybelle Brewer of Bridgeville, DE. Her children Sean Perry of Magnolia DE, Frederick Combs of Sarasota FL, Deknetra Perry and son in law Faheem Hawkins of Wilmington, DE. 8 grandchildren Shayla Perry, Sean Perry II, Denzel Perry, Jeyza Combs Agosto, Alekzandrs Combs, JaMychael Perry, Louvenia Perry, Sarah Mays- Perry and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00 pm at Faith Tabernacle United Holy Church of America 1000 Vandever Ave Wilmington, DE. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11:00 am with a viewing two hours prior at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 108 1st St Bridgeville, DE.
