Anthony Lynn Hood, "Hoody" 55, departed this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in Georgetown, DE surrounded by loved ones. Anthony was born on September 14, 1968, to Diane Hood and the late Phillip Brooks in Milford Memorial Hospital Milford, DE. Raised by his grandparents James and Catherine Hood growing up with his uncle Kevin they became like brothers.
Anthony attended Milton School and graduated from Cape Henlopen High School. He played football and basketball; some games he would get so upset with the coach thinking he should be playing getting the job done better than the other player. As he was with his boys Jordan and Lil Anthony he swore he could outshoot them. Then he passed it on to his grandson Jeremiah who would give him a good work out.
Anthony often worked after school laying carpet, kitchen floors, plumbing, working for Aunt Tina at Burger King. Now that has was harder than the service, working for his Aunt Lisa was easier.
On June 19, 2022, he gave his life to the Lord and joined Tabernacle of Praise under Pastor R. C. Jeffcoat II and First Lady Catina Jeffcoat in Seaford, DE.
On April 28,2021, he married his soulmate Willie Denise Clark and gained a new family.
He loved his family and enjoyed doing TikTok with his nieces, nephews, dog, Luna.
Anthony preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Catherine Hood; a niece, Raven Bacon.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 2 years, Willie Denise Clark-Hood; five sons, Jordan Tunnell (Tiffany) of Millsboro, DE; Anthony Fountain (Jammy) Millsboro, DE; Brett Atkins of Millsboro, DE; Xavier of Milton, DE; Devonte Hatchett of Milton, DE; two daughters, Keisha Clark of Salisbury, MD; Tyreika Clark of Harrington, DE; mother, Diane Cannon; stepfather, Douglas Cannon of Milton, DE; two sisters, Angela Hood of Ellendale, DE; Tameka Mcallister (Eugene) of Laurel, DE; four brothers, Andre Hood (Amie) Georgetown, DE; Donta Smith of Georgetown, DE; Doug Reed of Seaford, DE; Turray Jones (Ashley) of Laurel, DE; two brother-in-law, Larenzo Hatchett (Shawn) of Bridgeville, DE; Alfred Hatchett (Leona) of Harrington, DE; grandmother, Lizzie Cannon of Bridgeville, DE. A very special friend Donnie Smith of Florida. 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family from Moores Town, New Jersey, and friends.
