Christopher Bernard Allen Sr. was born on December 25, 1978, to the late Wardell & Irene Allen. He departed this life on August 8, 2023.
Christopher graduated from Cape Henlopen High School in 1996 where he played baseball as a star pitcher. He began working at 14-year-old, catching chickens for his father’s crew. He then worked for Unicom for many years continuing in the career of a poultry worker. He was raised in church, in his early years he attended New Shiloah, Temple of Faith, and then Welcome Full Gospel Holiness Church.
Chris enjoyed spending time with his family, playing drums, listening to reggae music, dancing, playing cards, driving, shooting pool and bowling. He also loved cooking and mixing a variety of drinks along with hosting family events. His favorite dishes were tacos and spaghetti.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Wardell & Irene Allen and grandparents Mary & James Jefferson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a life partner, Lashonde Hunter, children, Christopher Bernard Allen Jr, Chrishona Imani Tienisha Allen, Chrishon Eman Tinez Allen, Chasisty, Llaisa, Jazmine, Quinshar, and Tyliena. Grandchildren: Jhene Amari Allen, Jahi A’mere Allen and 10 extended grandchildren. One brother, Wardell Eugene Allen Jr. (Angela), one sister Kathleen Nicole Allen (LT), godmother, April Hinton, two god-sisters, Shantae Marshall and Angela Desire. Two favorite aunts Patricia Jefferson, and Donna Cartwright (Walter), one favorite great aunt Daisey Hughes, one favorite Uncle John Allen, two uncles, Solomon Hazzard Gene), and Oliver Hazzard. One best friend Rozelle Mason. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
