On August 14, 1980, Shlita Cheers Johnson (Larry) and Ray Wilson (Eppy) were given the most precious gift. God granted to them the beautiful life of Rayangelo Tinez Cheers. The absolute joy that Ray brought into their lives was insurmountable. Ray loved his mother and was proactive in demonstrating his love and security as he became affectionately known as “the boss.” Being the oldest of his two brothers (Devon (Heather) and Montray (Kendra), Ray always looked out for the family with quietness yet with smooth authority.
Ray enjoyed spending time at the beach. He was known for his fishing ventures, and oftentimes you could find Ray in the kitchen cooking up - Something! Ray was well known for his enjoyment of sports. Being ol’ school for football and basketball, Ray could be spotted in a crowd by his infamous shoe collection.
Ray Ray spent his high school years at Seaford Schools and was employed at DART in Federalsburg, MD. Ray Ray’s tenure with us leaves so many joyous memories, and we are honored, prideful, and our lives are enhanced to have shared them. Forever loving memories are stored in the heart of Ray’s fiancé, Stephanie Bennett; his beloved children, Ahleya, Raekwon, Jordan, Javon, Joelle, and Josiah. Memories of Ray are adored by his grandchildren: Ava, Aurie, Traeshawn, Camila, and Jacier. His paternal grandparents include Peggy and Jean Wilson. They also will treasure his lifetime memories. Ray’s sister, Nae Hammond, Uncles (Vincent (Brenda) Harris, & Andy Cheers, his aunts; Regina, Joice, and Missy, along with Beverly, Ray’s God mother will always hold a variety of loving memories of our Ray Ray.
Thank you for your gift to us, Ray, Ray, … nephew! We Love you, Daddy, …. Granddaddy! You’re the best, Uncle Ray! See you, big brother! You’re forever in my heart, my partner in my life! I will always love you – forever and ever – throughout eternity, my son! With many thoughts, we will miss you; however, we are eternally grateful to God for giving us 42 years to share the blessing of you! We all love you so much! Now we release you into the awaited place of peace and ever-existing joy! You’ve been ushered to a sacred place where your smile is brighter and everlasting, where you can walk around the place prepared for you – everything is arranged for you – not rearranged, bur arranged for you in the father’s house. Yes, Ray! It’s prepared for you, and he calls it home. Then he beckoned for you… To Come Home!
Rest in Peace! Rejoice in his praise! Remain in his Presence!
