Takila Nicole Latham affectionately known as " Poochie", "Big Baby, "Mom", Ma Kila" was born on September 16, 1981, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. She departed this life on October 05, 2023.
Takila was educated in the Seaford School District where she graduated from Seaford High School in 2000. Takila was employed at McDonald's for over 10 years as a trainer and manager. She was a great cook. Takila loved her children, and was a loving grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed her time having fun with the kids. Takila loved people and her contagious loving spirit would dominate any room she entered. She was a member of Grace Tabernacle of Deliverance under the leadership of Bishop Donald and Lucy Redden. She served on the hospitality team and the Women's Dance Ministry.
Takila was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Virginia Jones of Laurel, DE; father, Roney Latham of St Augustine, FL; bonus father, Atlas Ross of Seaford, DE; two brothers, Adair Williams of Seaford, DE; Jeremy Latham of San Antonio, TX; one uncle, Melvin Williams of Minnesota; and best friend, Shawnticqua Ross of Seaford, DE.
Takila leaves to mourn her loss three children, Aiyana Latham of Seaford, DE; Shyheem Latham Purnell of Seaford, DE; Cameron Latham of Laurel, DE; three brothers, Antoine Jones of Laurel, DE; Theron Williams of Seaford, DE; Roney Latham Jr of Easton, MD; two sisters, Shonta Jones of Laurel, DE; Monica Romberg of Easton, MD; three grandchildren, Zah'mere Purnell of Laurel, DE; Ke'ahnni Wilson of Laurel, DE; Au'riyah Cannon of Millsboro, DE; four godchildren, Imani Frazier of Ellendale, DE; Makaya Cooke of Seaford, DE; Khijiar Cheers of Seaford, DE; Cameron Deputy of Seaford, DE; nine nieces, seven nephews, a best friend, Arica Frazier of Ellendale, DE; bonus mother, Pastor Venita Ross of Rhode Island; godmother, Pastor Lorna Kellam of Laurel, DE.
Takila will be sadly and greatly missed by family, friends, and the community.
